I’m a huge fan of Edgar Allan Poe. The ones who read his tales of mystery and horror, such as “The Mask of the Read Death” and “Berenice”, knows that I’m talking about a very specific kind of mystery and horror, which no one were ever able to imitate.
“Berenice”, for instance, is a story of man in love with his fair and weak beloved damsel, as well as for her death. Allan Poe wrote a tale about love and catalepsy!
However, if there is someone who is also a huge Allan Poe’s fan, this person is Tim Burton. Just pay attention on his movies, such as “Nightmare Before Christmas” and “Edward Scissorhands”, they also have this Poe’s essence of fantastic horror.
There’s a Tim Burton’s production that I really enjoy, which its called “Vicent”, which is the story of a boy who wants to be like Vicent Price, a famous horror movie actor. The voice behind the story is actually Price’s.
